Street-style pink milky shaved-ice drink topped with powdered milk and syrup. — Serves 1–2 cups · Prep 10m
Ingredients
- 2 cups finely crushed ice or shaved ice
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 2–3 tablespoons condensed milk or sugar, to taste
- 1–2 drops red or pink food colour
- 1–2 drops banana or strawberry flavouring, optional
- Powdered milk for topping
- Chocolate syrup, mini marshmallows, and candy sprinkles for topping, optional
Method
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, condensed milk or sugar, food colour, and flavouring (if using) until well combined.
- Add the finely crushed ice and quickly mix or “scramble” until all the ice is coated and the mixture turns thick, fluffy, and pink.
- Spoon the ice scramble into a serving cup or plastic cup.
- Top generously with powdered milk, chocolate syrup, and mini marshmallows or sprinkles.
- Serve immediately with a straw and spoon before the ice melts.
Kitchen note
Work quickly once the ice is mixed with the milk so you keep that fluffy, slushy texture that makes street-style iskrambol so good.
